James Blunt to host his own show on smoothfm

Blunt recently released album number five “The Afterlove”

Singer-songwriter James Blunt returns to smoothfm’s weekend lineup to host his own show on Sunday afternoons from 28 May.

Blunt recently released album number five “The Afterlove”, which debuted at #7 on the ARIA Charts. He’s best known for hits such as “You’re Beautiful”, “Goodbye My Lover” and “1973”.

Last month Blunt performed “Don’t Give Me Those Eyes” from the new album at the TV Week Logie Awards, which jumped into the top five in Australia following the performance.

He loves spending time in Australia and shot the video for “Don’t Give Me Those Eyes” on Sydney’s northern beaches whilst he was here.

“I’ve had a great time in this country, I was so lucky really to come here to hang out on The X Factor, lived on Bondi…I’ve been looked after phenomenally by the Aussies, toured here so many times, so I’m always incredibly grateful to be back, thanks for having me,” Blunt said.

Blunt will join Ed Sheeran on his American tour next month before headlining his own tour through Europe and the UK.

Blunt joins a star-studded lineup of smoothfm guest hosts including Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb, Neil Diamond, Elton John and Olivia Newton-John.

James Blunt can be heard on smoothfm 95.3 Sydney, smoothfm 91.5 Melbourne and on smoothfm DAB+ from Sunday 28 May to Sunday 18 June from 4pm.
